Peakdale Molecular - History

Peakdale Molecular was founded by Dr Ray Fisher in Glossop, Derbyshire, in 1992. Ray continues to manage this thriving business as CEO.

Even in its infancy Peakdale, then operating as a fine chemicals business, obtained an enviable reputation with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies and quickly reached capacity.

In the late 1990s the company commissioned its current purpose-built facility at Chapel-en-le-Frith where it relocated in September 2001. Since then the company has grown through a phased roll-out to occupy the 3750m², with 11 laboratories capable of supporting 150 personnel across a number of disciplines.

Facilities include parallel synthesis capabilities, general synthetic organic chemistry laboratories, synthetic scale up in our kilo laboratory, ADME, full analytical and purification facilities, computational chemistry and medicinal chemistry support.

Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Chapel-en-le-Frith is the Capital of the Peak and houses some of the most spectacular parts of this beautiful area including Kinder Scout, Mam Tor, Edale and the Hope Valley.

Peakdale continues to grow and adapt to the ever-changing market place in which it operates.
